When Tan 2 Glow was established in 2011, many people were not familiar with hand-sprayed air-brush spray tans. As a matter of fact, many were only familiar with automated spray tan booths, like the one featured on the show “Friends.” Seven Mississippily, anyone? Twelve years later, this small, woman-owned business has blazed trails in the sunless industry and has become a well-recognized brand in West Fort Worth.

Kaylyn Sisk, the founder of Tan 2 Glow, wore all the hats in the beginning from reception and booking, accounting, marketing, spray tan technician and everything in between. She started Tan 2 Glow as a mobile spray tanning business with the hopes of contributing to her household while being home with her newborn daughter. She quickly realized her love for entrepreneurship and began to follow in the footsteps of her father, a successful salon owner in California. Six months into her new venture, she opened her first physical location in a salon suite off Camp Bowie, and now, after two stops on Bluebonnet Circle near TCU, Tan 2 Glow is located in a 2,300-square-foot building on Forest Park Boulevard near TCU and Colonial Country Club.

The growth of the salon also meant the expansion of the Tan 2 Glow team from a one-manned service provider to a team of 10-14, depending on the season. Each staff member is extensively trained and continues to expand their knowledge and technique with continual education. The salon takes pride in its customer experience, as well as the expertise of its staff. Clients are greeted with a brief consultation and detailed notes are kept on each visit in order to create the perfect shade from their vast variety of top-notch products. With thousands of tans under each of their belts, the Tan 2 Glow staff has over 56 years of spray-tanning experience collectively. "One of our key strengths as a business is the solidarity of our staff. We are a great team and truly enjoy working together!" says Kaylyn Sisk, owner of Tan 2 Glow.

Their quality service and top of the line expertise has garnered them multiple awards to date, which include Fort Worth Star-Telegram "Best Tanning Salon" in Tarrant County 2018, 2019, 2023; Fort Worth Magazine "Best Sunless Tan" 2015-2023; "Scouted" by The Scout Guide Fort Worth in 2019. Also, Tan 2 Glow was entrusted as the official tanning sponsor for the TCU cheerleaders and Showgirls in 2012, a relationship Sisk is thrilled to continue to support over a decade later. The salon has showcased its top-notch spray-tanning abilities over the years as a sponsor for Miss Fort Worth, Miss North Texas, Miss Tarrant County, and eventually became the official spray tan during Miss Texas week. Tan 2 Glow is currently a sponsor for Mrs. Texas America, Miss Texas for America, Miss Texas Volunteer, and Miss Texas Teen Volunteer.

As the salon has grown, so have the services they offer, including cutting-edge services like the Infrared FitBody Wrap and Ballancer Pro Lymphatic Compression suit. This has also culminated in Kaylyn’s pursuit as a leader in the sunless tanning industry. In 2019, she purchased The Sunless Store, one of her main suppliers and a leading national sunless tanning distributor and relocated the company to Fort Worth. Since the acquisition, she has gone on to develop her own product line, while continuing to represent some of the top brands in the industry, and has pursued her passion for supporting and educating business owners like herself to establish and grow their spray-tanning businesses..
